Located at 9318 feet above sea level in the heart of the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado , Scott Craig started building Instruments back in 2010. Since starting his company, San Juan Instruments he has built and sold over 1000 CBGs, Dulcimers, and various other instruments.

Throughout his life, Scott has been a carpenter, stone mason, log home builder and involved in historic building restoration.

Also owning and operated a retail store geared towards tourism . At some point, he wanted to build something that he could sell in his store and started selling home made Instruments.

Scott is a multi instrumentalist musician with a passion for making music and Instruments. The beauty of the small mountain town he lives in inspires him daily and once finished with one instrument, he is eager to begin another.

San Juan Instruments has been a proud customer of MGB guitars throughout the years and their products have further inspired his work. MGB parts are in hundreds of his guitars sold through San Juan Instruments and are in homes across the country and around the world!!

He no longer operates a brick and mortar shop instead has been selling at festivals from time to time. From Florida to Telluride Colorado.
