MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box LP enclosure. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Made to fit most standard modern license plates. Opening measures 6 inches by 12 inches.

Measuring 9 inches by 14 3/4 inches and 1 7/8 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. Light sanding might be needed. Box can be stained or painted to taste. Mounting holes are provided for the volume and tone control. This box works perfectly with the Super Neck and Easy Neck. With a Super Neck the bridge or saddle will be roughly 4 1/4 inches from the left edge of the plate. Ghosting a Mini Box Bucker 8.0 on the back side of the plate provides solid output. Secure with hot glue or epoxy and make sure to have the magnet face the strings.

LP box review

Nice sturdy, well finished box. I like to use the "Through the Box" neck method so I have had to do a lot of figuring and changing to get every thing to fit but I believe all my "work arounds" are going to be fine. I am a little concerned about the strength of the 4 tabs that the LP attaches to (screws were not included) but if they split wihen I run the screw in I can glue a thicker backing underneath to reinforce them. I don't install the volume and tone controls so I will glue something decorative over the holes. I think the controls on the amp are enough to handle that job so I just use a straight piezo.

Gorgeous

The wooden box is outstandingly gorgeous! The pre-drilled tone and volume holes were perfect. The construction of this Easy Box is great. For the money, I cannot build one like this. MBG always has the best wooden boxes and I will be purchase more. Thanks Mike!

Guitar sound quality in a cbg box

These boxes are so cool I'm in the process of making a tribute to the general lee car. I've painted mine orange and Amazon has a variety if different reproduction license plates for your favorite car like the bandit or knight rider even the plate from back to the future. I wanted to make a guitar like this for a while but didn't want to build the box and have it found like crazy. I've built with Mike's easy box before and saw these were built the same and knew it would have a great sound. The difference is in the design with the thin wood and solid braces that allow the sound to really come alive. Great job on these Mike
