Perfect for keeping strings aligned when using a zero fret. Available in Cherry, Maple or Rosewood. 1.5" wide, .3 " tall and .2 inches thick. Remove mask on Cherry and Maple before gluing in place. Make sure strings rest firmly on the zero fret, adjust slots if need be.

Bottle cap knob inserts. Add your favorite brew to your favorite build. These bottle cap knob inserts can be easily used with any bottle cap. Simply remove the liner from the inside of the cap and glue it to one of these inserts. We suggest using Gorilla Glue. Note: Bottle cap not included. Includes 1 bottle cap insert.

Measuring roughly 12 inches by 16 inches the kit includes a 1/4 top panel, two ¾ inch thick center rings and a 1/4 inch bottom panel that includes pilot holes on the back side should you wish to mount with screws. Current product does not include the slot at the top. Approximately 2” in depth/thickness. Shaped more like a traditional guitar this blank box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of art. Includes pilot holes on the back side to mount with screws Plywood construction with birch veneer   Note: Sanding & Assembly of this kit is required.  Assembly Tips for the MGB Fat Bottom Body Kit: To assemble the 2 inner rings, we recommend applying a generous amount of wood glue on the top of the "inner bottom" layer, apply the "inner top" layer over top of it, and use several clamps to tightly hold in place. Be sure to wipe any excess glue away. Let the glue dry fully before removing from clamps.  If the cigar box mosaic look is something you are interested in, this is how we lay it out. After you decide where each piece is going to be placed, use wood glue to apply to the top.   The back panel is lined with pre-drilled holes so that you can screw to the inner rings. You can wood glue the back as well if you prefer not to use screws, simply flip the back panel over so that the pre-drilled holes are facing inside and out of view.

Shotgun shell knob inserts. Add your shotgun shell to your desired build! These bottle cap knob inserts can be easily used with any used 12 gauge shotgun shell. We suggest using Gorilla Glue. Note: Shotgun shell not included. Includes 2 shotgun shell inserts.

These made in the US strings are available in several popular assortments. MGB strings are available in two styles, Plain Steel and Nickel Wound. Plain Steel strings are thinner and used in the lower positions on a instrument and create higher pitches. Nickel Wound strings are much thicker and heavier and used on the higher positions on an instrument and create lower pitches. Using a combination of different styles and diameters tuned to different pitches is the goal. The scale length of the neck is also critical a factor in selecting the correct strings. Scales lengths from 24-25.5 inches are the standard for guitars. We generally make recommendations for scale lengths in that range. If the scale length is longer or shorter, other strings may work better. Picking the right strings are a personal choice. At MGB we tend to prefer lighter strings like .013, .017 and .026 tuned to GDG. We offer an assortment of sizes in both styles. Many builders are not musicians and have limited musical skills. It is often to difficult to know exactly how to tune strings on various instruments. MGB is not a musician and created his own cheat sheet to help him with set ups. While many musicians can get pretty close with tuning a string by ear, others (like MGB) have no idea where they are on the scale. MGB quickly realized it was helpful to use the corelating frequency for tuning. The A note has  frequency of 440HZ. The Pano tuner app is very helpful, it provides the note and the frequency. The 88 keys on the piano are listed on the left, moving to the right are popular note tuning for a number of instruments.  While there are many tuning possibilities for cbgs listed are a few popular choices.

New from MGB, a quick and easy way to precisely position the bridge on your next build. This template will all allow you to mark the proper locations for the mounting holes on your bridge onto the box. It works with standard 3,4 and 6 string bridges. It will also work with MGB 3 string XL bridges.  First mark your box with a centerline then a  line for the scale length. Position the template on over these lines. Drill the appropriate holes along with the ground wire hole.
