Build your own 50s retro style cbg using the new Zoomy Kit from MGB. Easy to assemble. Available in 3 or 4 string models.  Kit includes: Finished body ready to assemble Easy neck with Maple fret board predrilled for tuners Nut is pre-slotted and may need further adjustment Chrome tuners, knobs and strap pins Chrome Hot Tuna with Push Pull pot harness Reinforcement plate Strings 36, 26 and 17 for 3 string  or 36, 26,17 and 13 for four string Bottom plate with screws, ready for customer supplied finish Add tuners to headstock and mount neck on body. Build your own 50s retro cbg using the new Zoomy box from MGB. Easy to assemble and easy to add the electronics of your choice. Can be used for 3,4 or 6 string guitars. Made primarily for use with bolt on necks and works perfectly with MGB Easy Necks, Super Necks and the Super Sixer Neck. Since the box is not symmetrical around the center line, it is recommended that you use a neck template to help locate the bridge. Can also be used for a U Bass.  The tops come in five cool and colorful laminates. The Zoomy RTG comes in twos styles; blank and Hot Tuna ready. The top plate is secured to the body ring. Install the neck and electronics. Finish the back plate as needed. Secure the back plate in place. MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Gecko Easy Box enclosure.  This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plate is included.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. IT comes in two versions one is unfinished and the other has several coats of spray finish.  Roughly 7 inches by 9.75 inches Approximately 2 1/2 inches deep Acoustic side includes 2 3/8 inch sound hole The box head is a full 5/8 thick Multiply construction with Sapele veneer .

We suggest using contact cement to secure the laminate.  Secure the top plate to the body ring using the screws provided. Make sure the body is pressed into the ring well resting on the flange. Install the neck and electronics then secure the back plate in place.  Kit includes: Machined and ready to finish top and bottom pine plates.  Predrilled oak neck bolt block.  Formed and predrilled aluminum body ring.
