This is the same body that MGB has used to create his unique cigar box mosaic guitars. Measuring roughly 12 inches by 16 inches the kit includes a 1/4 top panel, two ¾ inch thick center rings and a 1/4 inch bottom panel that includes pilot holes on the back side should you wish to mount with screws. Current product does not include the slot at the top. Approximately 2” in depth/thickness. Shaped more like a traditional guitar this blank box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of art. Includes pilot holes on the back side to mount with screws Plywood construction with birch veneer   Note: Sanding & Assembly of this kit is required.  Assembly Tips for the MGB Fat Bottom Body Kit: To assemble the 2 inner rings, we recommend applying a generous amount of wood glue on the top of the "inner bottom" layer, apply the "inner top" layer over top of it, and use several clamps to tightly hold in place. Be sure to wipe any excess glue away. Let the glue dry fully before removing from clamps.  If the cigar box mosaic look is something you are interested in, this is how we lay it out. After you decide where each piece is going to be placed, use wood glue to apply to the top.   The back panel is lined with pre-drilled holes so that you can screw to the inner rings. You can wood glue the back as well if you prefer not to use screws, simply flip the back panel over so that the pre-drilled holes are facing inside and out of view.

This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole when it is on the back side.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. IT comes in two versions one is unfinished and the other has several coats of spray finish. This box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of musical art. MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box LP enclosure. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure.   Made to fit most standard modern license plates. Opening measures 6 inches by 12 inches.  Measuring 9 inches by 14 3/4 inches and 1 7/8 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. Light sanding might be needed. Box can be stained or painted to taste. Mounting holes are provided for the volume and tone control. This box works perfectly with the Super Neck and Easy Neck. With a Super Neck the bridge or saddle will be roughly 4 1/4 inches from the left edge of the plate. Ghosting a Mini Box Bucker 8.0 on the back side of the plate provides solid output. Secure with hot glue or epoxy and make sure to have the magnet face the strings. This box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of musical art. Search EBAY for a cool vanity plate. This innovative trapezoidal enclosure has two sides with two distinct uses. One with a sound hole and one without. The box comes in three versions, one with no control plate opening, one with the control plate on the sound hole side and one with the control plate opening on the back. This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole when it is on the back side.  Measuring 12 1/2 inches long, by 4 1/2 inches at the top, by 8 inches at the bottom and 2 1/2 thick, the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele.
