MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box enclosure. This innovative enclosure has two sides with two distinct uses. One with a sound hole and one with out. This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole when it is on the back side.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure.   Made to fit most standard modern 6" by 12" license plates. Opening measures 6 inches by 12 inches.  Measuring 7 1/4 inches by 13 1/8 inches and 1 7/8 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele  Box is finished with a semi gloss oil product Mounting holes are provided for the volume and tone control. This box works perfectly with the Super Neck and Easy Neck. With a Super Neck the bridge or saddle will be roughly 4 1/4 inches from the left edge of the plate. Ghosting  any MGB Flat pup on the back side of the plate provides solid output. Secure with double sided tap, hot glue or epoxy, make sure to have the magnet face the strings. This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. This kit includes a neck, box, cover plate and neck reinforcement plate ready to assemble. The kit is  available in 3 or 4 string models predrilled and ready for MGB enclosed tuners. These are limited addition as we never know if or when we will find additional boxes. Simply add your choice of electronics, tuners and trim pieces to finish. Ghosting a Lucky 13 of Point Five O work well with this combination. The kit includes a 24 inch scale Easy Neck with Maple fretboard drilled for 3 or 4 tuners. Use the neck spacer to raise the neck when using a standard hard tail bridge. 

MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box Trappy enclosure. According to Bill Jehle this shape for an instrument body dates to the early 1800s, before cigar boxes were created. This innovative trapezoidal enclosure has two sides with two distinct uses. One with a sound hole and one without. The box comes in three versions, one with no control plate opening, one with the control plate on the sound hole side and one with the control plate opening on the back. This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole when it is on the back side.  Measuring 12 1/2 inches long, by 4 1/2 inches at the top, by 8 inches at the bottom and 2 1/2 thick, the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. This box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of musical art. The box head and tail are a full 5/8 thick. They are sufficiently long for almost all styles of builds.

New from MGB, the Ready Box is a US made box that is perfect for many box style builds. The box is well built and solid suitable for any build. The box is 7 3/4 by 11 3/4 inches which is in our estimate the perfect size. This box works perfectly for bolt on necks. The frame is made of 3/4" popular and the top and the back cover are made or 1/4 inch Burch ply. The box can be painted, stained or covered.    

For those thinking outside the box, the new MGB Maple Ring provides a platform for some innovative thinking and creativity. Features include: 11 inch outside diameter 10 inch inside diameter 1/2 wall thickness 2 1/2 inch tall Plywood core and Maple veneer on exterior and interior surfaces. Very solid construction able to handle stresses involved in building a instrument. 

This new body from MGB provides a perfect platform for building a cool round body instrument. The size works well with the very popular 12 inch round metal signs. The kit includes our new Maple Ring body, a top plate and a rear cover. (Neck and hardware are not included.) The kits comes in two sizes, the 11 inch includes an11 inch top plate that is exactly the same size as the ring, the 11.5 inch includes a 11 1/2 inch top plate that overhangs the body by 1/4 inch. Most 12 inch signs are not actually 12 inches; from experience we find they are actually 11 1/2 inches. We suggest you get your sign first and determine the size before you buy the body. Amazon and Ebay list a wide assortment of 12 inch signs as well as the smaller 8 inch signs This body may provide a challenge on installing a neck. The body and or the neck will need to be fitted carefully to get the centerline of the neck to match with the center line of the body. For those using an Easy Neck let us know and we will provide a neck shim to aid in installing the neck. There is a cut out on the top that allows the ghost mounting of a flat pup. The body is maple and the top and back plates are Birch plywood.

The MGB Vee is our newest body, ready for easy assembly. The body includes a center ring, a top and a back. The top is available in two styles: blank and Hot tuna ready. The body measures 17.5 inches by 11.5 inches and is 2 inches thick. The center ring is made from 2 layers of pine and the top and back are 1/4 inch ply. This body works well with bolt on style necks. Can be used for 6 string builds. Simply glue and clamp the components then sand the profile. Finish with stain, paint or clear coat.
