Build your own 50s retro/camo style cbg using the new Zoomy Kit from MGB. Easy to assemble. Available in 3 or 4 string models. Available in two Camo colors; blue and gray.

Kit includes:

Kit does not include the emblems or flag, these can be easily found on Amazon, search emblems.
Finished body ready to assemble with selected camo pattern, Blue body has bright dipped aluminum body ring, Gray body has a black anodized body ring.
Easy neck with Maple fret board predrilled for tuners on the Blue camo kit.
Deluxe Easy neck with Rosewood fret board predrilled for tuners on the Brown camo kit.
Nut is pre-slotted and may need further adjustment
Blue comes with Chrome Hot Tuna tuners, knobs and strap pins Gray comes with antique brass hardware
Hot Tuna pickups have Push Pull pot harness
Reinforcement plate
Strings 36, 26 and 17 for 3 string or 36, 26,17 and 13 for four string
Bottom plate with screws, ready for customer supplied finish

Add tuners to headstock and mount neck on body. Install electronics and bridge in predrilled holes. Install strings. Finish the back plate as desired. Secure the back plate in place. Some minor additional sanding may be required to get the back plate to fit

Fairly easy kit for me

I managed to build this kit in an afternoon and part of an evening.. All the parts I needed were provided for in the kit. If there was any real challenge, it was getting screws out of the box. Once I had enough screws out to open the box and set the bottom aside, assembly was straight forward. Stringing the instrument up, tuning it and playing the first blues riffs did not take long at all. If I wanted to build and play my own electric guitar, I would definitely go with this one. Thank goodness I do not need to spend alot to obtain a good working, great sounding (IMHO) electric guitar.

Kit needs additional work

Was really excited to receive this kit, however the nut came completely blank despite being advertised as pre slotted. The holes for the knobs were also not pre drilled. The internal mounting plate to reinforce the neck came with rust on it. The individual parts look pretty nice, I really like the brass finish on everything, however I've not been able to complete the kit till I figure out the nut and how to safely drill the holes for the knobs.
