Kit includes everything needed to complete this attractive 3/4 string instrument.

Included are:

9 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 2" box that is fully machined, reinforced and ready for assembly.
24 inch scale Easy Neck Rosewood and Okume fretted neck predrilled for 3/4 tuners. Neck reinforcement plate is included. String slots on nut are filed
Hot Rail pickup with harness installed. Push/pull switch on tone pot allows selecting between single coil and humbucker.
Mounting hardware and knobs.
Gold tuners, bridge, strap pins and black back cover.
Includes a black jack plate.
Includes appropriate packs of .013, .017, .026 and .036 strings.
Use a 7/16 inch deep well socket for the neck hanger bolt and a 10 mm socket or wrench to tighten tuner ferules.

Great kit, especially for beginners

I have built several cigar box guitars but this is definitely a fave. Also, I am glad to know I needed a minimum of tools to build it: a drill (battery operated and rechargeable) with bits, a screw driver and a wrench. So glad I did not need any luthier tools! The kit took me a few hours to assemble and assembly was fairly straightforward. In the end, I had a great, very playable guitar. Thanks once again, MGB!

Great kit!

I've built a cigar box guitar in the past, as well as many regular guitars. Unfortunately, I no longer can use the tools necessary to build from scratch. The kit is great for those who don't have their own wood shop because it doesn't require any cutting, sanding or finishing. A drill, screwdriver and a wrench is just about all you need. The neck is particularly well made. I did switch out the pickup and black parts for the gold. As soon as I finished it, I ordered a neck and other parts to build another one with a cigar box I already have. Thanks MGB!

Excellent Kit

Generally, I make 3 string acoustic CBG. Since I don't have a lot of experience with electrics and I wanted to get it right I went with this kit. It goes together beautifully and sounds great. I appreciated the coaching from Eric on some of the pieces that I wasn't familiar with.

The assembly was very simple and I was able to complete it in a few hours. I was surprised that the kit came with a hot rail humbucker with a coil splitter. Very nice touch with it also functioning acoustically. The frets were finished and did not require any filing or polishing. The set up with the string height and intonation was easy
