Originally from Louisville, KY Jacob now calls Augusta, GA home. Being a musician himself Jacob has always had a passion for music and a great eye for creativity. He started out building odds and ends in his shop, anything from Liquor bottle lamps and clocks to furniture. After a little inspiration he decided with his musical background to try his hand at instrument building. With only scrap materials around his shop built his first guitar in 2016.

Now with well over 100 builds under his belt and the help of MGBguitars.com has had his works on display in museums, cigar shops, airports and even had the pleasure of shipping out of the US to Canada a few times. He continues to be a mad scientist building: CBGs (cigar box guitars) ukuleles, bass guitars, diddley bows, canjos, and pretty much anything with a string. His vision is to build great instruments at great prices. Jacob loves to see the smile on a customer's face when they play a Dillander Designs handcrafted instrument.
