Russ was inspired by a good friend about seven years ago to build his first Cigar Box Guitar. Being a musician he learned rather quickly that any instrument that he builds needs to be of quality and very able to play.
He lives in the St. Louis area and has been involved in the Saint Louis Cigar Box Guitar Club, as well as the annual festivals. He performs his music locally and manages to work a day job as well as crank out a few builds whenever time allows. Music and woodworking combined allow him to create some very interesting instruments.
You can view many of his builds on Facebook. You may contact him via email. Links are at the top.
