Roger has been playing guitars since he was a teen but later in life was forced to look for other options due to a wrist injury. Cigar Box Guitars was an option that didn't cause him pain so after retiring he decided to build a few and people seemed to like them. He started doing Craft Shows and Festivals having built a successful Hobby/Business and has sold over 300 CBG's in two years.

Working with MGB has given Roger quick access to parts and accessories that he needs to build his 1 and 3 string fretted and non-fretted slide CBG's. Roger has seen his quality built creations turn into a successful Brand he calls Slimmtar. "Slide guitars by Simmons."
