These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. Make sure the magnets face the strings.

There are available in two versions; one is rated at 2k and is perfect for as a neck pickup, the other is 4K and perfect for a bridge pickup. Dimensions are 1.75" wide, 1.65" tall and .23" thick.

A Favorite!

This little powerhouse does a fine job either surfaced mounted with the matching cover(s), or ghosted under the lid.

Easy to install

These pickups are easy to install as they don't require a cutout in a stick-thru neck. Sometimes I can just cut a rectangle out in the box top and put a thin cover over them like a piece of beer can.

FEEDBACK update

I have to update my review, I took the pickup out, then tried something, I soldering an extra ground to the back and wrapped the
pickup in aluminum foil!!
IT WORKED now it's as quiet as all my other guitars.
