Worked wonderfully. My box was designed for six string of the same scale with necks off free first act kids acoustics… But I pondered buying myself new ones selfishly, then I saw this kit and my daughter plays ukulele. I had guilt. So it goes the first folk instruments I’ve dove into are her signature models of ukuleles. Zero shame mgb parts as no problems at all with what I got and what to do with it.

I did modify deepen saddle slot 1/32” and sand down the saddle for the cable piezo, but that was the plan and resulted in comfortable action. I didn’t get the bridge template, but wasn’t difficult to locate and intonate either.

Fun projects totally gotten into it.

I used this kit to build a CBU for my son, and it turned out perfectly. Amazingly, it was the first stringed instrument I've ever built. I sent a pic to my younger brother, and now he wants me to build two for himself and his daughter. I look forward to buying this kit and others from MGB.

BY ALL MEANS, buy the baritone ukulele template! I would not attempt the build without it. It costs so little, but it made all the difference!

Having the neck and fretwork completed makes it easier to produce a quality cgb guitar. My biggest problem is finding boxes long enough to allow room for the bridge to be located in a position where it can be moved to adjust the intonation.
