These guitars were obtained from different sources, but are obviously build by the same maker. Simple 1-string design. One instrument was used by a child and sports pencil marks on the box… Discovered at two separate auctions, these single string cigar box guitars were apparently made by the same builder in New York State. Circa 1930’s... Single string guitars are also known as “diddly bows” and are highly sought after by blues aficionados.
