MGB kits are made for people with a fundamental knowledge of building stringed instruments. There are many videos available on our Youtube Channel that can provide help. We are also available by phone to help.

Kit includes everything needed to complete this attractive 4 string instrument. Available with chrome or gold hardware

Included are:

10” x 7" x 2 1/2" box that is fully machined, reinforced and ready for assembly.

25.5 inch scale MGB Super Neck Rosewood and Maple fretted neck predrilled for 4 tuners. Neck reinforcement plate is included.

Includes zero fret and 4 string spacer. The zero fret method does not use a nut. The strings rest on the first fret called the zero fret. The string spacer keep the strings spaced properly and prevents them from sliding.

MGB Micro Pup and cover

Gold or Chrome tuners, bridge, strap pins and back cover.

Includes a chrome surface jack plate.

Includes a 4 pack of .013, .017, .026 and .036 strings.

Use a 7/16 inch deep well socket for the neck hanger bolt and a 10 mm socket or wrench to tighten tuner ferules.

This kit was a great learning experience

This kit featured as zero fret which I was not familar with but it is very ingenious. I thought that the wooden string retainer was a nut originally but Mike called me and explained it to me and sent me a replacement nut. The kit came with gold hardware which really gives it a classy appearance. The fretwork was perfect. I did have some problems with the pickup harness but Mike sent me a new one. Shims are provided for the bridge and the neck so that you have some options for adjusting the string height. It is a cool kit and I really like the customer service.

Another classy kit from MGB. My wife told me I can’t “buy” anymore guitars - she didn’t say I “couldn't build” anymore guitars! Mike was right - making these kits IS addictive. Check out his new additions- I did. All I have to figure out “is how to get them in the house and not get caught.
