These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. 8.8k Pickup. Dimensions are 2.5" wide, 1.65" tall and .23" thick.
Covers not included, find 6 string covers here.

I installed one of these, with the aluminum cover, on a 2955 Harmony Archtop. The top braces don’t allow for a humbucker-sized hole, so the surface mount was the answer. The low profile worked great with the string height, as well. Now, the Harmony is a roc and roll machine.
I ordered this for a 60’s vintage electric guitar project… I was having a hard time finding a top mount pickup for my guitar project until I found this site.
This sounds awesome in the bridge position, and pairs perfectly with a Seven-Fitty in the neck position. I like the fact that with the Boxbucker you only have to drill a hole for the wire, but otherwise it nestles perfectly in the cover---I just use a thin layer of E6000 to hold it in place AND create a bit of a gasket to absorb any unnecessary vibration and mitigate microphonic feedback. Gives my round CBG build the raw sound and unique appearance I wanted for use as a dedicated slide guitar for an Americana project I've been hired to do session work with.
These work great with the super sixer neck on an electric acoustic guitar
This is a very underrated pickup! I have the Hot Tuna on an Ovation conversion also and both are outstanding, especially for the amazing price. This Enya stereo conversion is on stage every gig. Thank you very much.
