I needed this to touch up the fret nut on an ukulele I had built from a kit. Whenever I tried to bend a couple of the strings, they would pop out of the nut. Using this file for just a couple of minutes took care of the problem and the uke sounds great.

Having tried other tools to cut the notches in fret nuts, this is the only one I've tried that really worked.

Recently changed strings from .009's to .010's on my Ibanez and Strat.
These files, along with the string action tool, made the changeovers a huge success. Quick delivery too.

This has become one of my favorite tools. I love how rigid it is. It doesn't bend like some other nut files I have used. I have used it for guitars, along with acoustic and electric ukuleles.

These look like decent quality files but when trying to figure out which sides are what size especially on the little ones it's really difficult. So I used my caliper to try and check but still no luck maybe 2 or 3 sides sort of measured out properly but all the smaller sides were too thick smallest measured about .026 and other small sides had barely any difference. Didn't even go down to the last three sizes I needed .010, .013 and .017
