More often than not, I'd find myself having to cut "a little at a time" till I got enough material removed to properly install the ol' Strat-style flush-mount "football jack", but this template definitely takes the guesswork out of it, and helps me get it done much cleaner and faster. I still do most of my scoring and trimming out with a sharp blade and clean it up with the Dremel, but man, so much more fun NOT having to keep testing the fit till I got it cut out enough. Now I can do my "La Estrato Castro" builds without one of the more annoying building hurdles. Love this!

This template is very handy to have, even if you don't have a router. You can trace the shape, use a drill to put holes every few millimeters, connect the dots with a razor knife, remove the scrap, then clean up the hole with a file.

The template is awesome! The perfect tool to have in your arsenal. I love that particular control layout, works great for cigar box instruments.
