MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box LP enclosure. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Made to fit most standard modern 6" by 12" license plates. Opening measures 6 inches by 12 inches.

Measuring 7 1/4 inches by 13 1/8 inches and 1 7/8 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele Box is finished with a semi gloss oil product Mounting holes are provided for the volume and tone control. This box works perfectly with the Super Neck and Easy Neck. With a Super Neck the bridge or saddle will be roughly 4 1/4 inches from the left edge of the plate. Ghosting any MGB Flat pup on the back side of the plate provides solid output. Secure with double sided tap, hot glue or epoxy, make sure to have the magnet face the strings.

Love the license plate box. Nice finish and easy to work with. I set this up with an easy neck. Looks great and plays awesome.

I needed to reinforce my cigar box for the bass I built. While I was ordering new strings, I saw this box. So I replaced the cigar bax with this, I'm pleased with the upgrade.

LP box review

Nice sturdy, well finished box. I like to use the "Through the Box" neck method so I have had to do a lot of figuring and changing to get every thing to fit but I believe all my "work arounds" are going to be fine. I am a little concerned about the strength of the 4 tabs that the LP attaches to (screws were not included) but if they split wihen I run the screw in I can glue a thicker backing underneath to reinforce them. I don't install the volume and tone controls so I will glue something decorative over the holes. I think the controls on the amp are enough to handle that job so I just use a straight piezo.

Gorgeous

The wooden box is outstandingly gorgeous! The pre-drilled tone and volume holes were perfect. The construction of this Easy Box is great. For the money, I cannot build one like this. MBG always has the best wooden boxes and I will be purchase more. Thanks Mike!
