Logan Elliott is a CBG builder from a small town in Illinois. He started building in late 2015, and really got the builders bug. He now has over 500 builds of CBG’s and 150 of his canjo, beer can line. Steve Arvey has played some of his guitars. Also having some in Clarksdale Mississippi, Watermelon Slim has also played his, and they both own one. His builds mostly resemble the older style, hand made instruments, only with MGB electronics inside for awesome, unique sounds. He mainly builds fretless with his own homemade necks, but also uses frets and factory necks at times. He, along with The Burnt WoodShack, make many custom logo guitars for bars, restaurants and wineries. Give Logan a shout and see what he can build for you!

A commissioned success!

I discovered shovel guitars while on a business trip to Huntsville Alabama. I didn't make a purchase however, Particularly because of the sticker shock. I also have a loyalty to local artists. (I knew of Logan before we met)
It was bound to happen. I crossed paths with Logan during a festival in Greenview, IL. During our conversation, I browsed his selection of guitars, I remember Logans comment "The right guitar will speak to you"
During the time, I asked about a shovel guitar. His response was he hadn’t attempted one, but was willing to try. He was back logged and needed time to catch up.
I told him to take all the time he needed. I also didn't expect to hear from him for a few months
After a request in September, I received my guitar in late October.
It was worth the short wait!
Logan's craftsmanship exceeded the one I found in Alabama. Logan had built two and gave me a choice. Both were well built and looked amazing. My final decision was determined by the sound. Mind the fact, both guitars had deep rich voices, I chose the one I most preferred.
Logan is an artistic craftsman. His laid back no pressure attitude makes his customers comfortable. He also sells his guitars at a reasonable price that doesn't leave the buyer with sticker shock
Thank you Logan, for creating a cherished treasure.
