MGB Guitars is proud to introduce its Comet guitar body kit. This is the same body that MGB has used to create his unique cigar box mosaic guitars. Measuring roughly 11 inches by 15 inches the kit includes a 1/4 top panel with a cut out for a 1 ½ inch neck, two ¾ inch thick center rings and a 1/4 inch bottom panel that includes pilot holes on the back side should you wish to mount with screws. Approximately 2” in depth/thickness. This blank box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of art. Love that a unique shape kit like this is available

Great shape that is comfortable to play and fun to put together. I ended up gluing a selection of various thin hardwoods to the top for a neat color effect. It did take a fair amount of sanding and wood filling on the center rings outer edge to get them looking and feeling the way I was wanting but that is to be expected with any wood project. Also, it may be the standard now but at least with my kit it did not come with the neck notch on the top panel and top ring which was fine and actually preferred.

Had it built for a while now. Just took it apart to adjust everything up. Great acoustic sound. Body shape is like an arm rest while playing. I’m getting another soon.it rocks thru my pig nose!
