These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. This pickup is rated at 3k, so perfect for CBG installations! What's a Hot Tuna? Let's talk about it! Mini Humbucker Split coil wiring Available in chrome, gold, black, antique brass finish 1 1/2 by 3 5/8  by 7/8 Watch Video: MGB Hot Tuna Mini Humbucker The Hot Tuna with its crazy name is pretty straightforward mini humbucker. It's small in scale and works out perfect for a lot of cigar box guitars. This humbucker has split coil wiring and is a little bit different than some of the wirings you'll see on some of our other pickups. Make sure to watch our video on that above. We've got four colors including chrome, gold, black, and antique brass.  The Hot Tuna is a new pickup that we've designed and we are really proud of we've done, we hope you guys like it and help make The Hot Tunas a household name.   Black wire is hot, green/braid is ground and red/white are where the coils connect. Note: Also available with our push pull pot harness. This allows you to easily move from a single coil pickup to a humbucker by simply pushing or pulling the tone knob. Soldered sealed and tested. This is our favorite setup at MGB Guitars.

Pre-soldered jack, push-pull pot, with a capacitor. To connect a push-pull harness to a Box Bucker Gen 2 or any other split coil pickup connect as follows. There is a long black wire which is the ground wire for the bridge. The shorter black wire includes a white lead that goes to the hot on the pickup , the bare jacket wire goes to the ground from the pickup.  The center tap wires, usually red/green  connect to one of the top tabs on the switch. The Easy Neck is completely finished and ready to go. Simply reinforce your box and bolt the neck on. Solid Okume construction with a Maple fret board set for 24 inch scale. The neck is meticulously sanded and the Okume portion has a spray finish. The Maple fret board is unfinished. The Easy Fretter is a pre loaded and ready to go fretboard that is sized to fit the 2 inch material found at the big box stores. It is made from black composite material.  Ultra smooth satin finished composite fretboard 25 1/2 inch scale 19 3/8 inches long 1 1/2 inches wide  .24 inch thick Available in Chromatic 21 frets Face fret markers Zero fret installed  Zero fret is .020 taller than other frets Rosewood string spacer included for either 3 or 4 strings Use woodworking glue to secure the fretboard to the neck. Strongly encourage using a clamping caul to help keep the neck and fret board straight. The string spacers mount at the end to keep the strings aligned.
