This trim ring really finishes off the look of the pickup hole, especially if your cut through the top of the box is slightly ragged.
It is also a great template for marking the hole that you need to cut, especially where to locate the screw holes, which are incredibly close up against the large hole for the pickup.

I've used these on a couple builds so far, and I love them. Not only do they cover up any "slop" due to some of us routing our pickup cavities in our box lids with a simple dremel tool (and no templates), but they also help with the placement of the pickups if you use them to position and mark your pickup locations AND the end-result looks fantastic. I've done a couple boxes with no pickup mounts, and they look fine, but these rings add a little class, taking the appearance of my build to a swanky new level. No, I won't use them all the time, but I most certainly will use them on the builds I want to impress with. They're mean, clean and perfectly cut. I will always keep a couple of these on-hand at any given time.
