MGB kits are made for people with a fundamental knowledge of building stringed instruments. There are many videos available on our Youtube Channel that can provide help. We are also available by phone to help.

Kit includes everything needed to complete this attractive resonator style box instrument. Available in three or four string. Although this is a little more complicated build we are here to help, just give us a call.

Included are:

11" x 7" x 2.5" aluminum box that is fully machined, reinforced and ready for assembly.

24 inch scale Okume and Maple Deluxe Easy Neck predrilled for three or four tuners. Neck reinforcement plate is included. String slots on nut are filed but may require minimal adjustments after assembly.

Powered by an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup. Pickup is pre-soldered to harness and ready for easy installation.

Includes tuners, knobs and strap pins.
Resonator cone, cover, biscuit bridge with several shims for final action adjustment.
Includes a 3 pack of .013, .017 .026 or .013, .017 .026 and .036 strings.

Use a 7/16" socket or wrench to tighten hanger bolt and and 10 mm socket or wrench to tighten tuner ferules.

Ordered my metal resonator and had it a mere three days later. Very easy assembly and much more sturdy than I expected. The guitar sounds great! I’m new to the game so had questions and Mike was kind and patient enough to speak with me by phone. I can’t recommend this business enough. All around great product and great service! A tinkers delight

Fun kit: went together quickly without plans (I did check on which side of pickup is up).
Playable from the start and it's also fun to modify.

I think it will make it into my tenor guitar rotation!

great kit

This kit is nice, all the parts that came with it where good quality, looks and sounds good, easy to play slide, easy to build (30min) a monkey can build it, just having the neck prebuild saves soooo much time. the bridge comes with multiple discs so you can set up the action low or high, volume and tone knobs are smooth enough, tone don't change much on a resonator but idk let me mess with it. I bought the bass neck too so that's my next build :) Yea I'll buy more stuff LOL

Great value. Great sounding instrument

This is a nice, unique instrument with a great sound of its own that sits great on a mix between regular sized guitars.
The kit is a great value, high quality all around. Easier to build than I expected, and not having to solder anything is just the cherry on top.
