So, the neck is straight. That's the lion's share of what we look for in a neck. The frets? Decent. Flat. Obviously need some work on the ends and a good polish. No complaints there, really. I do this with factory Fenders. I have to take some points away though for an uneven slot for the string spacer, which also did not arrive with the neck. They sent me two as a replacement, so they adequately compensated for the fact that it was missing. Admittedly, fixing a nut slot isn't the end of the world and it is in this case just a spacer and isn't super critical, but that doesn't really seem like something I should have to do. I'd excuse a high fret or two easier than this. I mean, I've bought way cheap fixer uppers where almost everything needed work... and the nut slot was at least even. Between it not being with the neck and the slot not good, it just speaks to some QC issues that might warrant a moment's consideration.
