I got a couple of these kits as projects to do with my kids. These sopranissimo uke kits are every bit as easy to assemble as MGB’s concert, soprano, baritone, and tenor kits. I highly recommend purchasing the bridge placement template in order to get accurate placement of the bridge. It’s also a good idea to get a center finder ruler to help get everything lined up just right. The kit comes with everything you need except the box. The neck is beautifully designed with the nut and mounting hardware already installed. The tuner holes are pre-drilled. The bone saddle slides right into the slot on the bridge. You can also purchase box corners, strap buttons, and sound hole covers to really customize this little gem. I recommend using a small piece of 1/4” wood under the bridge and 1/4” to 1/2” braces on the inside of the head and tail end of your box for a little stability. A 2 1/2” sound hole works well, especially for this size. It wouldn’t be too hard to put a piezo under the hood for amplification. All in all, these kits don’t take long to assemble and they’re fun projects when you want quality time with the kids.
