This kit includes everything needed to build a Mandolin except for the body. The neck is Okume with a Walnut fretboard. Binding and face and side fret markers are included. The scale length is 13 3/4 inches. The neck also includes a truss rod. A compensated and adjustable Walnut bridge is included along with a chrome tailpiece. Tuners and a truss rod cover are included.  Four pairs of stings are provided including .012, .016, .026 and .032 sizes. Tuning is GDAE. Note: Keep in mind the tension created by 8 strings is substantial, all boxes will need additional reinforcement to handle the added stress. Make sure the top where the neck is connected is thick (close to 3/8" is ideal) and rigid. You will note that two hanger bolts are used to provide and solid connection between the neck and the box.

This template is helpful for locating the bridge when using a Super Sixer bolt on neck. Always check to confirm 25.5 inch distance from the fret side edge of the nut to front the edge of saddle.

The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure.   Made to fit most standard modern 6" by 12" license plates. Opening measures 6 inches by 12 inches.  Measuring 7 1/4 inches by 13 1/8 inches and 1 7/8 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele  Box is finished with a semi gloss oil product Mounting holes are provided for the volume and tone control. This box works perfectly with the Super Neck and Easy Neck. With a Super Neck the bridge or saddle will be roughly 4 1/4 inches from the left edge of the plate. Ghosting  any MGB Flat pup on the back side of the plate provides solid output. Secure with double sided tap, hot glue or epoxy, make sure to have the magnet face the strings.
