Our 2nd generation humbucker pickup specifically designed for use in cigar box guitars & homemade instruments!
The best just got better, we listened to our customers and made some improvements. The cover and frame are now rosewood, we have also added a black fiber baseplate to add strength and style. We still use Alnico 5 magnets which add more focus and enhanced dynamics. Enamel-coated magnet wire delivers warm vintage-style tones. These pickups available in 3 and 4 string configuration measure 8.8k. This new model also includes wiring for split coils for those wanting to separate the coils. Another quality guitar pickup from MGB Guitars.
Black wire is hot, green/braid is ground and red/white are where the coils connect.
Note: Also available with our push pull pot harness. This allows you to easily move from a single coil pickup to a humbucker by simply pushing or pulling the tone knob. Soldered sealed and tested. This is our favorite setup at MGB Guitars.
