Nickel Wrapped Strings .018 to .050 from $1.75

All strings are packed in a corrosion resistant envelope and then packed in a reclosable 4 mil bag. MGB strings are available in two styles, Plain Steel and Nickel Wound. Plain Steel strings are thinner and used in the lower positions on a instrument and create higher pitches. Nickel Wound strings are much thicker and heavier and used on the higher positions on an instrument and create lower pitches. Using a combination of different styles and diameters tuned to different pitches is the goal. The scale length of the neck is also critical a factor in selecting the correct strings. Scales lengths from 24-25.5 inches are the standard for guitars. We generally make recommendations for scale lengths in that range. If the scale length is longer or shorter, other strings may work better. Picking the right strings are a personal choice. At MGB we tend to prefer lighter strings like .013, .017 and .026 tuned to GDG. We offer an assortment of sizes in both styles. We also offer different quantities, you can buy one, three or a dozen strings. We believe our offering provides lots of options for builders. You can pick your favorite strings or do some experimentation with different strings. 3-String XL Bridge from $10.00

Traditional 3 string bridges have a narrow 12 mm spacing between strings. This places the strings close together and can can be challenging for players with bigger hands and fingers. The new MGB XL bridge solves that problem providing a bridge with ample spacing. The spacing between strings on the new XL Bridge is 16mm (0.625", just under 5/8") with total distance from string 1 to string 3 being 32mm or 1.25 inches which works perfectly with a 1 1/2 inch neck. This bridge is a "top-loading" style, which means that the strings are fed through the back plate of the bridge, then up and over the saddles. No drilling through the instrument/box is required Each one is mounted securely by four screws, and a small hex wrench is also included for adjusting the small set screws that control string action height. The saddles can be adjusted by means of a screw at the back of the bridge to get the intonation just right, and small set screws at the front of each saddle let you set the string action height. Easy Connector from $3.00

The Easy Connector is a quick and easy way to connect electrical components without solder. Strip the wires back 1/4" then press the lever and insert the wire. There are 6 openings along the ground end for connecting all the grounds to a common. There are 4 openings along each side for splicing wires, for example connecting the the hot wire from a pickup to the hotwire on a harness. These spring style connectors provide a solid connection which provide a solid reliable connection. They are sized for 20-24 gauge wires which are commonly used on components.

This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole. Measuring 11 1/2 inches by 8 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. This box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of musical art.
