Build your own 50s retro cbg using the new Zoomy box from MGB. Easy to assemble and easy to add the electronics of your choice. Can be used for 3,4 or 6 string guitars. Made primarily for use with bolt on necks and works perfectly with MGB Easy Necks, Super Necks and the Super Sixer Neck. Since the box is not symmetrical around the center line, it is recommended that you use a neck template to help locate the bridge. Can also be used for a U Bass.  The tops come in five cool and colorful laminates. The Zoomy RTG comes in twos styles; blank and Hot Tuna ready. The top plate is secured to the body ring. Install the neck and electronics. Finish the back plate as needed. Secure the back plate in place. The RSG (Ready Set Go) pickup is a complete system that includes a pickup, harness and cover ready to install. Uses an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup which is soldered to a 500K economy harness, or a 3.0 Micro Pup and 250K harness. The pickup is secured in the cover. This pickup can be mounted anywhere between the neck and the bridge to provide excellent sound. These new wood covers are less than .25  inches thick and work well with MGBs Easy Necks, Super Necks and Easy Fretter fret boards with no need for addition spacing. Assembly is quick and easy, simply drill a one inch hole at the pickup location and feed the jack and pots through the hole, secure the pickup with the provided screws then mount the pots and the jack.  Each pickup is fully tested to insure optimum performance.

This template allows the builder to accurately locate any of the MGB Flat Pups and mark the necessary holes for mounting the cover. it easy to use, simply: I identify and mark the centerline of the box. Select the appropriate pickup on the template. Mark the mounting holes and the wire hole for the pickup. Drill a one inch hole when using a RSG pickup where the pickup is already soldered to a harness.  Install the pickup/cover. The template provides the name and part number of all MGB Flat Pups and the cover options.

The MGB Vee is our newest body, ready for easy assembly. The body includes a center ring, a top and a back. The top is available in two styles: blank and Hot tuna ready. The body measures 17.5 inches by 11.5 inches and is 2 inches thick. The center ring is made from 2 layers of pine and the top and back are 1/4 inch ply. This body works well with bolt on style necks. Can be used for 6 string builds. Simply glue and clamp the components then sand the profile. Finish with stain, paint or clear coat.

MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Gecko Easy Box enclosure.  This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plate is included.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. IT comes in two versions one is unfinished and the other has several coats of spray finish.  Roughly 7 inches by 9.75 inches Approximately 2 1/2 inches deep Acoustic side includes 2 3/8 inch sound hole The box head is a full 5/8 thick Multiply construction with Sapele veneer .
