This is a chrome electric guitar-style hard-tail bridge, but made for 3-string cigar box guitars! It took us a long time to find a source for these, but now we got 'em! These bridges are "top-loading" style, which means that the strings are fed through the back plate of the bridge, then up and over the saddles. No drilling through the instrument/box is required! The dimensions of these bridges are 1 31/32" (50mm) wide, 1 5/8" (41mm) deep and about 9/16" (14mm) tall. The spacing between strings is 12mm (0.472", just under 1/2") with total distance from string 1 to string 3 being 24mm or 0.945" - just under 1 inch. Each one is mounted securely by four screws, and a small allen wrench is also included for adjusting the small set screws that control string action height. See the listing photo with measurements (in millimeters) for more size specs. Basically these get used like any bottom-loading electric guitar bridge (like those on telecasters and such). You screw it to the top of the instrument, and the strings come up through holes in the instrument body (usually with a ferrule of some sort on the back to hold the string ball), and then up and over the individual string saddles. The saddles can be adjusted by means of a screw at the back of the bridge to get the intonation just right, and small set screws at the front of each saddle let you set the string action height. 3-String Bridge | Black $9.50

Imitation Pearl Fret Markers $3.00

Imitation pearl fret markers are 1/4 inch in diameter. Easy to install. Mark locations for markers. Drill shallow hole using 1/4 inch flat bottom or brad point drill bit. Test drill depth on a scrap piece of wood. Glue markers in place using super glue. Carefully sand to finished height. If you drill too deep you can stack two markers to fix the problem. RSG Pickup- Mini Box Bucker or Micro Pup from $21.50

The RSG pickup is a complete system that includes a pickup, harness and cover ready to install. Uses an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup which is soldered to a 500K economy harness, or a 3.0 Micro Pup and 250K harness. The pickup is secured into a cover. This pickup can be mounted anywhere between the neck and the bridge to provide excellent sound. The cover is .3 inches thick so make sure there is a .3 difference between the top of the frets and the top of the box. Assembly is quick and easy, simply drill a one inch hole at the pickup location and feed the jack and pots through the hole, secure the pickup with the provided screws then mount the pots and the jack. The RSG pickups are available in four popular finishes including shiny aluminum, black, gold and antique brass. Each pickup is fully tested to insure optimum performance.

Paper Fret Location Template $0.77

This template allows the user to precisely mark the locations of the frets. Included are templates for 25.5, 25, 24.75, 24, 23, 21 and 20 inch scale lengths. Each templte included locations for 24 frets. Simply cut the appropriate strip and affix to the fret board using double sided tape, contact cement or rubber cement. Carefully saw the fret slots at the marks and install the frets. Template also includes dots for the fret markers. Not copyrighted so feel free to make additional copies as needed.

In some builds it is preferred to place the pickup under the lid of the box, this practice is often referred to as "ghosting". Many builders have had good success using the MGB Mini Box Buckers for these applications. MGB is proud to introduce our new Lucky 13 flat pup designed for ghosting. By adding more wire and strengthening the magnetic field we have a solid solution. These new pickups measure 13k ohms plus. We have found in testing that the pickups work well when the distance from the pickup to the strings is .5". Make sure the magnets face the strings.
