These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. Make sure the magnets face the strings.
Dimensions are 1.75" wide, 1.65" tall and .23" thick.

The coil measures 2 1/2 inches long by 3/8 inches wide and 3/8 inches tall. You can select an optional cover or create your own. Measuring 2 3/4 by 3/4 by 3/8, it's easy to install, cut a small slot in your lid, glue the pickup in the optional cover and mount with screws. Feel free to experiment.
