These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics.
There are available in two versions; one is rated at 2k and is perfect for as a neck pickup, the other is 4K and perfect for a bridge pickup. Dimensions are 1.75" wide, 1.65" tall and .23" thick.

Measuring 2 3/4 by 3/4 by 3/8, it's easy to install, cut a small slot in your lid, glue the pickup in the optional cover and mount with screws. Feel free to experiment.
