MGB kits are made for people with a fundamental knowledge of building stringed instruments. There are many videos available on our Youtube Channel that can provide help. We are also available by phone to help. MGB kits are made to order and can take a few extra days to prepare. They may ship in a few days or could take up to a week. Kit includes everything needed to complete this attractive 3 string instrument. The design is simple and it is the perfect CBG kit for a first time builder.  Included are: 7" x 9" x 2" Arturo Fuente Curly Head box that is fully machined, reinforced and ready for assembly. 24 inch scale Maple and Okume fretted bolt on neck predrilled for 3 tuners. Key style fret markers. Neck reinforcement plate is included. String slots on nut are filed. Floating bridge with bone saddle and a laminated tailpiece. MGB Micro Pup pickup with harness assembled, tested and ready to go. Includes a back cover plate,  strap pins  and knobs. One set 017, .026 and .036 strings. The Easy Connector is a quick and easy way to connect electrical components without solder. Strip the wires back 1/4" then press the lever and insert the wire. There are 6 openings along the ground end for connecting all the grounds to a common. There are 4 openings along each side for splicing wires, for example connecting the the hot wire from a pickup to the hotwire on a harness. These spring style connectors provide a solid connection which provide a solid reliable connection. They are sized for 20-24 gauge wires which are commonly used on components.

The Easy Fretter is a pre loaded and ready to go fretboard that is sized to fit the 2 inch material found at the big box stores. 25 1/2 inch scale 19 3/8 inches long 1 1/2 inches wide  .24 inch thick Available in Maple or Rosewood 21 frets Face fret markers  Zero fret installed  Zero fret is .020 taller than other frets Rosewood string spacer included for either 3 or 4 strings Use woodworking glue to secure the fretboard to the neck. Strongly encourage using a clamping caul to help keep the neck and fret board straight. The string spacers mount at the end to keep the strings aligned.

This template is helpful for locating the bridge when using an Easy Neck. Always check to confirm 24 inch distance from the front of neck to front the edge of saddle.

New from MGB is a formed aluminum reso body. Simply add a few pieces of wood to create a reso box. Available in plain aluminum or with an anodized black finish. Openings are made to work with other 6 inch MGB resonator cones and covers. Made to accept an MGB Moni Box Bucker and cover. #6 screws work perfectly to mount the other components.

The RSG (Ready Set Go) pickup is a complete system that includes a pickup, harness and cover ready to install. Uses an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup which is soldered to a 500K economy harness, or a 3.0 Micro Pup and 250K harness. The pickup is secured in the cover. This pickup can be mounted anywhere between the neck and the bridge to provide excellent sound. These new wood covers are less than .25  inches thick and work well with MGBs Easy Necks, Super Necks and Easy Fretter fret boards with no need for addition spacing. Assembly is quick and easy, simply drill a one inch hole at the pickup location and feed the jack and pots through the hole, secure the pickup with the provided screws then mount the pots and the jack.  Each pickup is fully tested to insure optimum performance. 

Traditional and Modern F hole template, includes 8 shapes sized from 3 inches to 7 inches. Use one side for one hole then flip the template for a mirrored shape. Made from 1/8 inch acrylic.

Measuring 12 inches by 8 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. Attractive filigree pattern is laser engraved in top. Box includes matching back cover and control plate. Roughly 12 inches by 8 inches Approximately 2 3/8 inches deep The box head is a full 5/8 thick Multiply construction with Sapele veneer  .

It is always best to keep the pickups as close as possible to the face of the pickup. Occasionally the the geometry of the box, neck and bridge creates a larger distance. If possible it would be helpful to lift the pickup and cover. These spacers are made for each of the MGB flat pups. The are 1/8 of an inch thick. You can use one or more. The screws that come with the covers are long enough to handle several spacers.

This template allows the builder to accurately locate any of the MGB Flat Pups and mark the necessary holes for mounting the cover. it easy to use, simply: I identify and mark the centerline of the box. Select the appropriate pickup on the template. Mark the mounting holes and the wire hole for the pickup. Drill a one inch hole when using a RSG pickup where the pickup is already soldered to a harness.  Install the pickup/cover. The template provides the name and part number of all MGB Flat Pups and the cover options.
