MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Ace of Spades Easy Box enclosure.  This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plate is included.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele.  Roughly 7 inches by 9.75 inches Approximately 2 1/2 inches deep Acoustic side includes 2 3/8 inch sound hole The box head is a full 5/8 thick Multiply construction with Sapele veneer .

The Easy Fretter is a pre loaded and ready to go fretboard that is sized to fit the 2 inch material found at the big box stores. It is made from black composite material.  Ultra smooth satin finished composite fretboard 25 1/2 inch scale 19 3/8 inches long 1 1/2 inches wide  .24 inch thick Available in Chromatic 21 frets Face fret markers Zero fret installed  Zero fret is .020 taller than other frets Rosewood string spacer included for either 3 or 4 strings Use woodworking glue to secure the fretboard to the neck. What's a Hot Tuna? It's small in scale and works out perfect for a lot of cigar box guitars. This humbucker has split coil wiring and is a little bit different than some of the wirings you'll see on some of our other pickups. Make sure to watch our video on that above.  The Hot Tuna is a new pickup that we've designed and we are really proud of we've done, we hope you guys like it and help make The Hot Tunas a household name. Black wire is hot, green/braid is ground and red/white are where the coils connect. Note: Also available with our push pull pot harness. This allows you to easily move from a single coil pickup to a humbucker by simply pushing or pulling the tone knob. Soldered sealed and tested. This is our favorite setup at MGB Guitars.

This handy template allows the builder to accurately mark the locations for potentiometers. Align the template with the lower left corner of the box. Then mark the holes through the template with an awl. Drill the holes using a 5/16s drill. Brad point drill bits work well. Note we also mark our bits with colored tape to help find them quickly.

The RSG (Ready Set Go) pickup is a complete system that includes a pickup, harness and cover ready to install. Uses an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup which is soldered to a 500K economy harness, or a 3.0 Micro Pup and 250K harness. The pickup is secured in the cover. This pickup can be mounted anywhere between the neck and the bridge to provide excellent sound. These new wood covers are less than .25  inches thick and work well with MGBs Easy Necks, Super Necks and Easy Fretter fret boards with no need for addition spacing. Assembly is quick and easy, simply drill a one inch hole at the pickup location and feed the jack and pots through the hole, secure the pickup with the provided screws then mount the pots and the jack.  Each pickup is fully tested to insure optimum performance.
