In some builds it is preferred to place the pickup under the lid of the box, this practice is often referred to as "ghosting". Many builders have had good success using the MGB Mini Box Buckers for these applications.  MGB is proud to introduce our new Lucky 13 flat pup designed for ghosting. By adding more wire and strengthening the magnetic field we have a solid solution. These new pickups measure 13k ohms plus. We have found in testing that the pickups work well when the distance from the pickup to the strings is .5".  Make sure the magnets face the strings. MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Gecko Easy Box enclosure.  This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plate is included.  Measuring  9 3/4 inches by 7 inches and 2 1/2 thick the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. IT comes in two versions one is unfinished and the other has several coats of spray finish.  Roughly 7 inches by 9.75 inches Approximately 2 1/2 inches deep Acoustic side includes 2 3/8 inch sound hole The box head is a full 5/8 thick Multiply construction with Sapele veneer .

Traditional 3 string bridges have a narrow 12 mm spacing between strings. This places the strings close together and can can be challenging for players with bigger hands and fingers. The new MGB XL bridge solves that problem providing a bridge with ample spacing. The spacing between strings on the new XL Bridge is 16mm (0.625", just under 5/8") with total distance from string 1 to string 3 being 32mm or 1.25 inches which works perfectly with a 1 1/2 inch neck. This bridge is a "top-loading" style, which means that the strings are fed through the back plate of the bridge, then up and over the saddles. No drilling through the instrument/box is required  Each one is mounted securely by four screws, and a small hex wrench is also included for adjusting the small set screws that control string action height. MGB Guitars is proud to introduce their Easy Box Trappy enclosure. According to Bill Jehle this shape for an instrument body dates to the early 1800s, before cigar boxes were created. This innovative trapezoidal enclosure has two sides with two distinct uses. One with a sound hole and one without. The box comes in three versions, one with no control plate opening, one with the control plate on the sound hole side and one with the control plate opening on the back. This box was designed and built using the same principles used in acoustic instrument construction. The box is built using purfling and braces to create an incredibly strong and rigid structure. Additional reinforcements were added to key locations to allow when securing bridges. Cover plates are available to cover the sound hole when it is on the back side.  Measuring 12 1/2 inches long, by 4 1/2 inches at the top, by 8 inches at the bottom and 2 1/2 thick, the box is made from thin ply with a top veneer of Sapele. This box provides a perfect canvass for creating your own piece of musical art. The box head and tail are a full 5/8 thick. They are sufficiently long for almost all styles of builds.
