This template allows the user to precisely mark the locations of the frets. Included are templates for 25.5, 25, 24.75, 24, 23, 21 and 20 inch scale lengths. Each templte included locations for 24 frets. Simply cut the appropriate strip and affix to the fret board using double sided tape, contact cement or rubber cement. Carefully saw the fret slots at the marks and install the frets. Template also includes dots for the fret markers.  Not copyrighted so feel free to make additional copies as needed.

All strings are packed in a corrosion resistant envelope and then packed in a reclosable 4 mil bag. MGB strings are available in two styles, Plain Steel and Nickel Wound. Plain Steel strings are thinner and used in the lower positions on a instrument and create higher pitches. Nickel Wound strings are much thicker and heavier and used on the higher positions on an instrument and create lower pitches. Using a combination of different styles and diameters tuned to different pitches is the goal. The scale length of the neck is also critical a factor in selecting the correct strings. Scales lengths from 24-25.5 inches are the standard for guitars. We generally make recommendations for scale lengths in that range. If the scale length is longer or shorter, other strings may work better. Picking the right strings are a personal choice. At MGB we tend to prefer lighter strings like .013, .017 and .026 tuned to GDG. We offer an assortment of sizes in both styles. We also offer different quantities, you can buy one, three or a dozen strings. We believe our offering provides lots of options for builders. You can pick your favorite strings or do some experimentation with different strings.   MGB's CBG cheat sheet is a valuable tool for better understanding the different pitches we are referring to and can be found HERE. 1/4 inch acrylic router template for pocket neck. Also includes small template for marking mounting neck screws.

This handy template allows the builder to accurately mark the locations for potentiometers. Align the template with the lower left corner of the box. Then mark the holes through the template with an awl. Drill the holes using a 5/16s drill. Brad point drill bits work well. Note we also mark our bits with colored tape to help find them quickly.

New from MGB, the Ready Box is a box that is perfect for many box style builds. The box is well built and solid suitable for any build. Works well with bolt on necks or neck through necks. The box is 7 3/4 by 11 3/4 inches which is in our estimate the perfect size.  The frame is made of 3/4" popular and the top and the back cover are made or 1/4 inch Burch ply. The box can be painted, stained or covered.  Available with many different sound hole configurations.

For use on all MGB bolt on necks. This one inch by three inch 11 gauge steel plate provides additional rigidity to the connection between the neck and the top of the box. The elongated slots accepts 1/4 inch or 10mm hanger bolts.

The RSG pickup is a complete system that includes a pickup, harness and cover ready to install. Uses an MGB 4.0 Mini Box Bucker pickup which is soldered to a 500K economy harness, or a 3.0 Micro Pup and 250K harness. The pickup is secured into a cover. This pickup can be mounted anywhere between the neck and the bridge to provide excellent sound. The cover is .3 inches thick so make sure there is a .3 difference between the top of the frets and the top of the box. Assembly is quick and easy, simply drill a one inch hole at the pickup location and feed the jack and pots through the hole, secure the pickup with the provided screws then mount the pots and the jack. The RSG pickups are available in four popular finishes including shiny aluminum, black, gold and antique brass. Each pickup is fully tested to insure optimum performance.
