It's small in scale and works out perfect for a lot of cigar box guitars. This humbucker has split coil wiring and is a little bit different than some of the wirings you'll see on some of our other pickups. Make sure to watch our video on that above. We've got four colors including chrome, gold, black, and antique brass. The Hot Tuna is a new pickup that we've designed and we are really proud of we've done, we hope you guys like it and help make The Hot Tunas a household name. Black wire is hot, green/braid is ground and red/white are where the coils connect. Note: Also available with our push pull pot harness. This allows you to easily move from a single coil pickup to a humbucker by simply pushing or pulling the tone knob. Soldered sealed and tested. This is our favorite setup at MGB Guitars.

MGB Micro Pup 3/4 String Single Coil Flat Pickup $10.00

These low-profile pickups are designed specifically for surface mounting on cigar box guitars. They eliminate the need for cutting a large hole in the box and slotting the neck. Simply mount on the surface of the box and run the wire through a small hole to connect with the rest of the electronics. This pickup is rated at 3k, so it's nice and hot for guitar installations! When used with a router and a Freud 50-98 bit the template will create a perfectly sized opening. The template includes a pattern for most pickups in the MGB line. Avoid mistakes and ensure a perfect cut every time. Watch this video!

MGB Pitch Bender from $25.00

Available in 3 and 4 string models, these new MGB Pitch Benders can add a new dimension to your CBGs. Includes all of the chrome finished components and hardware needed. Also includes a template to provide accurate location and sizing of hole for the bridge and locations for mounting screws. Critical steps for installation: Use the template (included) for accurate lay-out of holes. Make sure to line up the box center line and scale length line. Secure anchor block (2 1/2 x 4 inches) to inside of lid. It should meet with edge of hole. The bridge screws will need to go through the lid and into the block. Do not over tighten screws that secure the bridge. The bridge must lay flat against the box, see pic. The bridge will need to pivot to shorten the strings and bend the pitch. Anchor the springs to provide tension, you can use the spring bracket or install screws in the anchor block. Our experience shows that stretching the strings about 1/2 inch from the normal state provides the right tension. This tension will will keep the bridge flat and allow tuning. Bending the bar will further stretch the springs and allow the bridge to pivot. The 3 string uses two springs and the 4 string uses three springs. The strings are bottom loading so access through the back of the box is needed.
